Fujifilm S7000
Fujifilm S7000

Fujifilm finepix S7000 The Fujifilm FinePix S7000 is a digital camera with very high specifications and image quality, that's why some people say that it is a 'prosumer' camera. This camera acts like a digital reflex camera with a compact and light design. It has the latest technique of the image sensors and is also equipped with a 6x optical zoom, CCD-Raw format storage, an xD Picture Card slot with on its side a CompactFlash type I and II slot, a fast USB 2.0 interface, an improved colour LCD monitor and LCD viewfinder.

The camera shows directly what it is made for and that's taking pictures. It does not have an ultra modern look or a fashionable design but a solid appearance, completely in black. The pleasant way the camera lies in ones hand is striking straight away at first acquaintance. Ergonomically the FinePix is a success, the camera fits perfectly in ones hand and the buttons lie well organized.

The camera is equipped with a super CCD HR with 6.3 million pixels (12 million pixel image size), electronic viewfinder (235.00 pixels), RAW image format, super EBC Fujinon 6x optical zoom lens (compare with 35-210mm), xD-Picture Card en Compactflash/ IBM Microdrive. Its has a complete manual settings mode and a half automatic mode that gives the photographer a lot of control over the setings of the camera.

I like this camera very much, I bought it because of the color (black is still the color for a camera to me), the looks of an analog camera en the perfect manual control of all the camera settings. Also the focus zoom ring is very nice and gives the impression of an analog camera. The only disadvantage is that the camera has so many buttons that the time to get to know the camera is long. But if you learn to use all the features its very nice to fix a setting with just a button, instead of going trough a lot of menu's on the screen. You might say I am a real fan of the Fujifilm Finepix S7000 camera.

minolta Dimage camera The Minolta Dimâge 2300 is a very nice compact digital camera with a resolution 2.3 million-pixels, autofocus (AF), autoexposure (AE), auto white balance (AWB) and built-in flash. Measuring just 4.48 x 2.55 x 1.57 inches and weighing only 7.4 ounces, it is very easy to carry wherever you go. In the magazine Computertotaal of november 2000 this camera is tested and selected as one of the best (at that time), comparing all the features, quality and price. The review said: sharpness, 8.5; colors, 9; brightness, 9; contrast, 8; resolution, 8.5, user interface, 9.
I have used this camera for many years and I still use it because it's a very good camera that takes good colorfull pictures when there is enough light. When there is not enough light this camera will produce very noisy pictures.
